    MPlayer Installation?

I'm so confused! D: I tried to install the RPM and it's telling me I'm missing LAME dependencies for .mp3 decoding. Is there an RPM I can get that will automatically have all these dependencies resolved? If not, please help me, thank you.

Hey, for installing any packages on SUSE or on any other distro, u need to satisfy all its dependency...I know you are familiar about this..
Any ways, you can use another package manager called YUM, which will satisfy all packages dependencies...
If not, i mean if you want to install packages manually then, rpm cmd will give u the list of packages which are needed as dependencies..
So in your case, your systen doesnt support lame decoders..So plz visit rpmfind.net or sf.net or pbone.net to download LAME rpms.
U can visit this for its home page www.lame.sourceforge.net

    Hope this works for you....

The easiest way to do that is to add the PACKMAN repositories to YAST :
    http://en.opensuse.org/Additional_Ya...T_Repositories

Once that is done, you can install MPlayer using YAST. All the dependencies will then be automatically resolved.

Thanks for the help on the repository! I am amazed at how hard I was having to work before when YaST will automatically do it for me! I may have other questions later, but right now I'm good to go. I appreciate it!

Alright, new problem. I am on Youtube, watching videos, and there is still a considerable amount of stretching of audio. Also, I downloaded the MPlayer plugin, but it doesn't show it in Firefox. Help? Is there an RPM of Win32 DLL Codecs?

Since you added the packman repository to YAST, you can install the package "win32codecs" (or "w32codecs" perhaps) using YAST.

Like Juan Pablo said, using Flash Player 9 will get you better result on YouTube (since youtube uses flash to display video).

Okay, so I've got the plugin and such downloaded, but, when I try to view a video, it stops it before it starts. For example, http://www.myspace.com/sinamor1210 In this site, the videos SHOULD play, but it takes forever to initialize and the bar doesn't move, and when I right click it to hit play, it grabs the URL, I'm guessing, and stops immediately. I've played with the configuration, making it grab from the HTTP source instead of RTSP(maybe?), and it's failing, any help?

Make sure flash is correctly installed by checking the plugins list with "aboutlugins" in firefox address bar.

Did you put the plugin in ~/.mozilla/plugins/ ?

I did, and it still says I'm running 7.

    Shockwave Flash

    File name: libflashplayer.so
    Shockwave Flash 7.0 r68

Oh, wait, let me restart really quickly. I put the 'plugins' folder in 'Firefox' ((Doo da doo... xD)) I'll get back with you in a second. Also, this is going to help My Space media file problems?
