    Unhappy installation problems

I'm trying to install suse 10 enterprice server with no luck at all...
my sistem: intel motherboard, intel dual core 2.6, 2 gb ram, sata2 hdd

Problem: suse boots up form first cd, then I can choose installation type, after that I get the: "could not find the suse installation cd" error and the manual installation program.
installing through ftp just isnt working, the intel netrowk adapters modules are not loading properly(or at all)
installing through second hdd stops with "no catalog found at hd:///..."

I tryed a lot of solutions, none of them worked, maybe someone can help me out?

    maybe faulty CD

Any chance that you have a faulty CD ???
or maybe burned on different CD drive on high speed ???
    or try different cd drive
I'm just asking as it sounds like it.

i think something is wrong in BIOS settings. change all settings to 'default'.

CD boots up... coz BIOS recognized CD as bootable.
Problem is, SuSe Installer couldn't find Hard Disk, CD Drive coz of wrong BIOS settings.

actually in my first post I wrote, that I actually can start install from hdd, the only thing what's missing is cdrom, it shows up in bios, it boot's up from it, but installation seems to fail to mount it, bios is as new as possible and loaded in defaults.

    lets check it.....
in Manual Installation, go to Load Modules -- IDE -- 'Load IDE-Generic' Module, leave parameters field blank. go back and resume installation.
    is installer recognizing CD now?
