Alright i have a term project due tomorrow at 12, and i have to demonstrate (at least 1 way) how to gain root access through a local user by exploiting poor admin security.

Please keep in mind i am Very new to linux and alot of things i still do not understand, so the easier the exploit is, the better. So if possible, try to keep it as simple as can be.

Ive been reading about exploits when it comes to running SETUID programs with root permissions to gain access to root, something like that fairly simple and doable?
