    As far as I know the drivers are the same for PCI-e cards. Download them from here:

    if i only knew how to install... i read that tutorial on "how to install nvidia drivers" about 8 times over... i dont get this. can someone please explain what the heck init 3 means and how do i transfer back to my x-server desktop out of the command prompt?

    It doesnt mather if you dont know something, just type the damn commands and enjoy. Eventually you will find out what init 3 is.

    Give the guy a break he is new.

    init3 shuts down the gui to restart the gui you type init5 (note no space)

    You missundestood me,
    I am not a critick, that is how I learned.
    The hard way is the best. I had to reinstall suse because it went to init 3,
    then I learned what init 5 is and typed

    i do want help... i want to understand how linux works and the relative commands. (been at work all day) im going to try Ubuntu 6.06 and see if I can learn anything about linux the easy way. People say its easier to use, so i'll give it a try. thanks for teaching me what init means. and how to switch on and off the GUI. i'll try to go about installing nvidia drivers with the ubuntu distro. hopefully it'll be easier!
