    resize windows partitions?

yast's partitioner failed to resize my windows partitions. It comes back with something like "Error - system error code was -3087." when I try to resize /dev/hdc1 or /dev/hdd1.
    I unmounted them (/dev/hdc1 and /dev/hdd1) before I tried.
    With them mounted, "mount" returns
    Code:
    /dev/hda2 on / type reiserfs (rw,acl,user_xattr)
proc on /proc type proc (rw)
sysfs on /sys type sysfs (rw)
debugfs on /sys/kernel/debug type debugfs (rw)
udev on /dev type tmpfs (rw)
devpts on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,mode=0620,gid=5)
securityfs on /sys/kernel/security type securityfs (rw)
/dev/hdc1 on /windows/C type ntfs (rw)
/dev/hdd1 on /windows/D type ntfs (rw)
    any suggestions?
Failing that I don't suppose anybody's got a 250GB disk they could temporarily lend me, so I can complete my migration from windows to linux? would pay postage, could be sent back full of music and video.

p.s., can you resize partitions from command line / ncurses?
    cheers

I allways have the same problem, so I started useing "Partition Commander" by Vcom. I'ts downloadable. It'll do anything you want to a hard drive.
But don't install the "System Commander" that comes with it cuz it'll screw up grub. Just boot from it, and you'll be done in minutes.
