    Suse slow

    I finally managed to get most of the stuff workin better than ever and now my pc is slow very slow is there any way i can find whats slowing my computer down so i can take it off please help Thanx

    Open a konsole. Type "top". That might show the offending application.

    If using SuSE-10.1, I have read that beagle grinds the pc to almost a halt, while it does its initial indexing. But after that is done, it is purportedly not so bad. I didn't install beagle on my SuSE-10.1 PCs, so I can't comment on that.

    If your hardware is primative (like 128MB of RAM with only a PIII) then SuSE will be slow.

    I will try that Thanx i'll make sure i uninstall beagle as well
