How do you want it changed? Are you running a desktop machine and want to keep the CPU at full speed all the time? Or is it just not ramping up when more speed is needed?

Can you post more details ? Such as which module is taking care of CPU frequency management, and which policy do you use ?

    For policy :
    Code:
    cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
    As for frequency :
    Code:
    cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_available_frequencies
Also, make sure you use the speedstep_centrino module for frequency management, and no other (verify with lsmod that it is properly loaded).

I have solved the problem! I copyed the cpu-folder from /sys/devices/system and put it in /etc and changed the cpu-speed in the cpufreq-files there. Then I told sysconfig in YaST to use those cpufreq-files instead. This works perfectly, so, please moderator, sticky
