    Angry thunderbird won't run

    Hey guys,

OK here it is - recently I was playing a bit with my SuSE installing stuff to get everything up and running as I had before on winXP, It was a bit painfull and still is because I didn't finish yet and having lot of problems.
anyway, after installing all that stuff I have now, my THUNDERBIRD mail client stopped working under my account, it runs ok under root account.

in details, what it does - thunderbird opens for maybe a second even less, you can actually see the blank window and it closes right away, telling me nothing and thats it.

I'm not using the version that came on install disk, I'm using the one from web - most recent version.

    anyone could help ?????

is there a folder .thunderbird or .mozilla-thunderbird in your home folder?
    Code:
    ls -a

its a weird problem. uninstall Thunderbird through YAST and delete .thunderbird folder in home. re-install it.

    solved

ok, problem solved - but only the easy way

I had to uninstall, remove everything about thunderbird, install and start from scratch - create accounts filters etc.

thank you very much for help and time spent

btw, what's the difference between Thunderbird from mozilla site and Mozilla Thunderbird from SuSE DVD ????, versions are completelly different and size of package on DVD is huge.

    thanks again
