    setting up DSL

    Hi,

You need to explain what linux distro you are using. What DSL modem you are using, how your DSL modem connects to your pc - USB/Network.

    Have fun

Can you let us know what you have tried so far?

Have you tried to configure it through "Network Devices" in YAST?

Hi,I got the same problem with Hevavaza and want to ask for some step by step advise...
I am using SuSe 10.1,my modem is Telindus and I have a simple hub to connect 3 PCes to the net via ethernet.2 of these PCes use Windows and I have SuSe on my laptop.
In windows my adresses are :
IP adress : 192.168.1.2-3-4 (for the 3 PCes)
    Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0
    Default gateway : 192.168.1.1
    Preffered DNS : 192.168.1.1

I've tried to use yast connection and entered the IPes but I cann't connect to the net,I've also read all the SuSe walk through but couldn't get it working either :\ cables and modem work fine and my network card is working and it has been recognized succesfuly from linux :\

    Plz help

first of all try to ping your router - in your case
    Code:
    ping 192.168.1.1
    from your machine.

if you get a reply from router, then you are on right way.
If not, then you have to manually assign or check IP address, mask and gateway.

let us know about that ping first.
