If all you need right now is mplayer don't worry about extra Yast repositories or any of the dependancies. Your yast install disc should already be set as a repository and it has everything you need.

Simply launch yast, choose Software Management and when the search field appears just type mplayer and search and when you check the box next to "mplayer" it will install all of the dependancies for you.

What error messages do you get when you try to install the rpm? If you get some dependency warnings, please post the error messages.
