    xorg.conf issues

Hello everyone. I installed Suse 10.1 distr. Everything is fine except that i cant change vert sync on my Benq fp91v monitor(I have 60Hz, but i want 70Hz). I tried the procedure described on forum, but ended up with xorg.conf looking like this:
    Section "Monitor"
    DisplaySize 380 300
    HorizSync 30-83
    Identifier "Monitor[0]"
    ModelName "BENQ FP91V"
    Option "DPMS"
    VendorName "BNQ"
    VertRefresh 60-70
    UseModes "Modes[0]"
    EndSection

    Section "Modes"
    Identifier "Modes[0]"
    # 1024x768 @ 70.00 Hz (GTF) hsync: 56.00 kHz; pclk: 76.16 MHz
    Modeline "1024x768_70.00" 76.16 1024 1080 1192 1360 768 769 772 800 -HSync +Vsync
    # 1280x1024 @ 70.00 Hz (GTF) hsync: 74.62 kHz; pclk: 128.94 MHz
    Modeline "1280x1024_70.00" 128.94 1280 1368 1504 1728 1024 1025 1028 1066 -HSync +Vsync
    # 800x600 @ 70.00 Hz (GTF) hsync: 43.75 kHz; pclk: 45.50 MHz
    Modeline "800x600_70.00" 45.50 800 840 920 1040 600 601 604 625 -HSync +Vsync

    EndSection

    Section "Screen"
    DefaultDepth 16
    SubSection "Display"
    Depth 15
    Modes "1024x768_70.00" "1280x1024_70.00" "800x600_70.00"
    EndSubSection
    SubSection "Display"
    Depth 16
    Modes "1024x768_70.00" "1280x1024_70.00" "800x600_70.00"
    EndSubSection
    SubSection "Display"
    Depth 24
    Modes "1024x768_70.00" "1280x1024_70.00" "800x600_70.00"
    EndSubSection
    SubSection "Display"
    Depth 8
    Modes "1024x768_70.00" "1280x1024_70.00" "800x600_70.00"
    EndSubSection
    Device "Device[0]"
    Identifier "Screen[0]"
    Monitor "Monitor[0]"
    EndSection
But when starting X. System seems to think that I have 70 Hz, but monitor settings show only 60. And sometimes error dialog appears, but it doesnt override my version of xorg.conf with default settings. Any suggestions?

    Section "Monitor"
    DisplaySize 380 300
    HorizSync 30-83

    Option "DPMS"

    VertRefresh 60-70
    UseModes "Modes[0]"
    EndSection
HorizSync rate is too high. it should be around 30-60 and set VertRefresh to 50-70.
check your Monitor Manual for supported rates. wrong rates can damage your Monitor.

    Thumbs up

Thanks for answer, casper. But the problem was simpler than i thought. I just installed new ati driver for my video card. And looks like driver added this lines in my xorg.conf file
    Section "Screen"
    Identifier "aticonfig-Screen[0]"
    Device "aticonfig-Device[0]"
    Monitor "aticonfig-Monitor[0]"
    DefaultDepth 24
    SubSection "Display"
    Viewport 0 0
    Depth 24
    EndSubSection
    EndSection
But in xorg.conf there are no such sections as aticonfig-Screen[0]. But something else was modified for sure)
