    how do you extract a .gz file in a terminal?

    k...I try that and i get this error:

    gunzip: UT2004-LNX-Demo3334.run.gz: unexpected end of file

    Does that mean i have a corrupted file?

    From the error message, it would appear so. I would re download that file and try again.

    'UT2004-LNX-Demo3334.run.gz: " This file is a run file right click on the file from the bottom of the menu click on properties put and x in the executable file box close the menu left click on unrealtournament and the install should start.

    I know about .run files. In Fact i prefure them over rpm's. I though it was a run compressed in a .gz file. but i did try that and all i get is "error cannot open package" in the file roller program. I tried the terminal too and got a message that said the same thing.

    Then maybe you do have corrupted files in you download or burn. Try downloading again if that does not work I can send you a copy of my disk that has worked for me now for almost three years.

    i downloaded it from 3 different computers (yes i have that many) and i always got the same error. so yeah...how would i go about getting your CD eh?
