Hello all!

I am experiencing quite a severe problem with mysql on suse linux 10.

I use
*mysql 4.1.13-3
*php4
*apache2
*mediawiki 1.5.8 for the intranet site in my company.

I connect remote to the web server through VNC viewer and all installations are done on remote basis.

Mysql service is started thorugh YAST and expert mode, and everything works fine some time. But after I shut down VNC viewer or after a random time has passed the mysql service goes down (In Yast in simple mode "YES*" -with the star is shown) and I have to restart the service once again and everuthing works fine.
When the service goes down following is shown when the intranet site is opened:

"Sorry! This site is experiencing technical difficulties.

Try waiting a few minutes and reloading.

(Can't contact the database server: Lost connection to MySQL server during query (hostname))"

Any suggestions would be highly appriciated!
