pretty close to 24 hours to the minute after I finished installing 10.1.
In between there were plenty of reboots due to such things as "guru meditation error"s, something I hadn't seen since my Amiga v1.0, multiple monitor swappings trying to get one that didn't give an 'out of bounds' error as soon as it went to X, and multiple attempts to connect to the shares of the windows PCs on my home network [didn't even try to set up samba].
The shares worked for about 3 hours, for root only once I'd switched off the firewall, then stopped.
The keyboard stopped when I tried to type in the root password when doing a 'switch user/lock current and start new session'. Rebooted, luckily I'd set up a user account to auto login else I'd have never got in again, and confirmed that i couldn't even type at a command line in a shell. Luckily I've got a windows PC to type this message on.
Any ideas?
