    Suse Enterprise Server

I'm totaly new to linux so be gentle. Well a little experience. I'm trying to setup Samba Server but not as a domian server. I just want to use it as a storage server like on a peer to peer xp setup. I have it all setup and the Linux box can see and access the other pcs and the other pc's can see the Linux box however not access anything. I see, users, groups, profiles, printers in in network places on the Linux box and if I click on users, groups or profiles it will ask for a user and password and thats as far as I have gotten. What do I need to do from here? I also have a share folder that does the same thing. I can access the printer folder with no user or pass. This is on all winxp pro pcs with all updates.

You need to make your Linux folders sharable. This is done just like in Windoz. Right click a folder select properties then the share tab.
