    Problems with RPMs

    Hi
    I'm a damn noob with Linux. I have SUSE 10.1. I updated and now I'm trying to set up mplayer. I went to the pacman thing, downloaded the right version and everything. Ran the file and then it just goes and says file not available or something along those lines once it enters the update and has already asked me for the root password.
    I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm not sure what is supposed to be happening. If someone could help me out or point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.
