    Samsung Syncmaster 203b 20" ugly

I just bought a new LCD monitor "Samsung Syncmaster 203b" and the screen size never fits correctly and the text is blurry approimately every other line (sounds like refresh rate right?). sax2 in SuSE 10.1 doesn't support this model. I set the default "LCD" monitor with the correct resolution of 1400X1050 (seen on another forum) and it still doesn't look good/I also tried VESA compiliant. The XFree Screen resizer that sax2 pops up doesn't work too well with this monitor. I joined the sax2 mailing list and it's basically a dead mailing list, no mail for the past week and no help with my situation. Suggestions?

The guys on the Xorg-request mailing list did a good job to help me out and now the monitor looks good.

I made a webpage tracking what I had to do:
