    Hi,

    i have a new PC that's based on C2D intel, and an Intel DG965 RY motherboard. I have been unable to install any distro of current linuxes available on this PC owing to some hardware incompatibility.

    I was told by some experienced linux users that i ought to use linux distros with kernels later than 2.6.18.1

    Does the new suse version released yesterday have this kernel...?

    I was told Ubuntu's 10.2 version comes with this kernel. is this true...?

    I would be grateful for any answers. I so want to install linux on this rig. so please help this newbie.
