    NTFS write issue

ok so i just instaleld a fresh coppy of suse 10.1 onto my main computer along side a very large ntfs partition for my win xp and media storage(for matter of easy access from either os) in the past i dont recall having issues writing to my NTFS partitions. i did a search in yast software managment for NTFS and i have NTFSprograms package installed. it lets me read my files fine but not create or modify anything. im using the X86_64 version on this system. i tried changing the folder permisions(as root ofcourse) in konqurer to read and modify for all sections and it wont let me change the setting. any advise apreciated.

There is a good driver you can find here -> http://ntfs-3g.org -- i read that support for X86_64 is 'iffy' but see what you can find in their forums (use search feature at their forums) http://forum.ntfs-3g.org/
You will need fuse (http://sourceforge.net/projects/fuse). I'm running ntfs-3g on my x86 and it works "alright" for now. Reads/writes but I can't get file permissions to work correctly [yet].
