    Question nvidia under Suse 9.1

    I can't get my nvidia driver to work either.

    I've tried init 3 and su and typed:

    sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8762-pkg1.run -q

    it installed nicely, but then I had to type:

    sax2 -m 0=nvidia ("0 is a digit")

    and the screen went blank, I also tried the 9629-version of the driver from the Nvidia website. (it look like the computer hangs)

    Please assist

    I recommend you try installing it without using sax2 at all. Modify the /etc/xorg.conf file manually and see if you get a different result. For more detailed information, look here:
