In Yast (package manager), there should be a program called xchm, which allows you to read .chm files.

If you use KDE, kchmviewer is probably a better option if you want an app that integrates well with KDE.

Further Question
Hello,
Is there an already existing program in Suse software that can open the .chm file? Or I have to search for its rpm and download then install?!

kchmviewer
Hi!
Download kchmviewer from sourceforge.
Before installing read the instructions:http://www.kchmviewer.net/download.html
- 12-15-2006 #8Suse has kchmviewer in its software repositories so you can install it using YAST or SMART. I am not sure if its available on the installation discs.
