SuSE 10.2 Insallation problems
Hey, Iam kinda new to the whole Linux thing, I hear SuSE is supposed to be the easiest to install etc.. I have researched compatability with my current Dell XPS M140 and have seen no problems with it. I have also had ubuntu I belive installed on with with full function. Since I have been wanting to install and run SuSE 10.2 but when I go and begin the installation I will always get errors saying
somethin along the lines of
"cannot create cd:///dev-dev/sr0 or /var/tmp.(random)/MEDIA"
I have tried formatting everythin and makin an ext3 and swap partition and still get the same problem. I have burned two copies from my DVD iso I downloaded via bitorrent. I am about to burn one more at the slowest speed for the DVD and try again.. but any insight as to what iam doing wrong would really be appreciated!
