Hi, I'm pretty new. I just recently installed SUSE 10.1. I have been tinkering with it and just figured out how to work the panels to their full extent. I'm working with a laptop so I insterted the battery power/ac icon into the panel but it doesn't recognize when I unplug the power cord that the computer has switched to batter power. The brand of the laptop is acer. Anyways I'm hoping someone can help me out who has had some experience with Linux on a laptop and had that icon working (its a pretty important icon since that is the only way for me to know how much power the battery has left).
