    Problems installing flash

I've tried installing Flash on my machine today, because it didn't work once I upgraded to Firefox 2. When I try to install it, I get this:

ERROR: Your architecture, \'x86_64\', is not supported by the
    Macromedia Flash Player installer.
    Any help?

    SUSE LINUX 10.1 (X86-64)
    KDE 3.5.1 Level "a"
    AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+
    2GB Ram

    Copy:

    flashplayer.xpt libflashplayer.so

which should now be in same directory as the installer program
    To the:

    .mozilla/firefox/plugins

    in your home

Yes the installer gets confused and refuse to copy the files but it will still work on a 64bit system even though flash is 32. Just need to get the files where they are supposed to be.

Alright, new problem with this. Sound doesn't seem to work for the flash plugin. Any suggestions?

    ::edit::
I think that keyboard input isn't working, either. :-/

Sound is a problem with 32 bit apps using the old OSS and not ALSA running on 64 bit OS. Do you have sound else where? are your speakers muted?

I had major sounds problems. Ended up solving them by creating a new user. There was something in some config file that was wrong. Trouble is which one??

Every other sound aspect works. Games sound fine, so do many KDE apps.
