    Sles 10 Cd Install Problem, Install starts to finalize after 1 cd

    I'm installing SLES 10 with CDs and everything is going fine until the first CD is finished, the dialog shows that it needs all four CDs but after the first is finished it says its finalizing the install but it doesn't go into the hostname or root password section etc.

    It then says its rebooting, but of course when I reboot with HD it just sits there with a blinking cursor so I can't boot from HD I have to boot again from CD but when I go back in it doesn't let me continue the install. I have also tried new installs to no avail. I'm installing this on a Compaq DL760. Thanks for any help.

    Ok, it seems the problem is not the cd-rom. I was able to setup an install via FTP and all of the packages are installed but it then proceeds to finalize and reboot. I haven't done an install in a while, so I guess it reboots and then continues the install, is this the norm?

    Problem is I'm still left with a blinking cursor after the machine goes through POST. I'm guessing it's a problem with the boot loader. Any ideas?
