In my PC is 2 HDD in Linux soft RAID 1 ... On this raid is EXT partition .
On this location /VMStore is two ...

Repaire Linux Partition
Hello,
I use SUSE 10.1.
In my PC is 2 HDD in Linux soft RAID 1 ... On this raid is EXT partition .
On this location /VMStore is two files with 2GB size .. But one file is bad and has size 0B before 2GB...
This file is image virtual drive in VMware Virtual Server.
I need back this file.
I need any repaire tools on this partition .
Help me , please !!!

Have you already tried using the rescue portion off of the installation cd. Thats just my thought, but i would still wait for a tech solution.

"the rescue portion off " is software or pakage in OS.
And how to you ?

Enable CDROM booting in your BIOS, load the 1st Linux installation CD and reboot. When the installtion screen comes up, chose 'installation'. You should then get options (new install, update or other) -- chose 'other' and there should be a listing for 'repair'.

OKi... But this repair proces is not good..
This PC has this component
1x SCSI HDD - this clasic partition , mount / (on / is my SUSE )
2x IDE HDD - this linux soft raid , mirror
3x IDE HDD - this linux soft raid , mirror
and on this two disk creating one logic pratition ( linux raid , mirror) and this partition is mount to system /VMStore ( /VMStore is my data storage..)
then bad file is on location /VMStore/Serius/hdd_data.vmd
The repaire action is not see this partition /VMStore and can not repaire this files system or this concrete file...
I need software runing on my host OS (my os .. SUSE 10.1) that he see my raid partition /VMStore on two IDE drivers.
Please , help me .. This file is essential for my ...
