    uploading pics from camera

First of all, hey everybody, my name is Mike.

I installed Suse 10.2 with KDE the other day, and when I upload pics off of my camera (kodak cd33), it takes about 45 seconds to a minute for one pic to upload using the usb cable. Is there any way to speed this up? I was using konqurer(sp?), to drag and drop into my home folder.

    download pictures

    Hi,

It could be a couple of things. You didn't state what size your images were. If they are high res your download time may be correct for a large image. Check to see if your USB port is a 1.0 or 2.0. Some mother boards have both. A 1.0 is quite a bit slower on downloads than 2.0.

Well, I don't know the exact image size(I am at work right now), but when I still had xp pro, it didn't take but 5 to 10 seconds per picture. I was told by my cousin that the kernel may have a default setting of only using usb 1.1. I don't know.
