    ATI Radeon wrong driver

I accidently installed the 9800 driver on a workstation that had a 9200 in it. I thought it was the same driver, it isnt. Well now only booting runlevel 3 and sax2 crashes when I try to run it to reconfigure.

Is there a easy way to edit out this driver settings resetting back to the basics or so it will redetect?

    Thx!

The ATI radeon drivers provide an fglrx-uninstall.sh script. Just make sure that you have the right device specified in you xorg/x11 .conf

The latest and greatest drivers uninstall

    Code:
    /usr/local/ati/usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh
    The older ones use

    Code:
    /usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh

EDIT: In case you need the latest Radeon 9200 Drivers:

    64 BIT

    32 BIT

Yep that got rid of the old driver and back to the old 2D so thanks.

I can seem to get the correct driver installation to take for some reason. It says it installs correctly and I run aticonfig --initial and it copies the file but no 3D. flgrx is not showing as driver either. I will play around with the /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
