    openSUSE 10.2 issues

Just updated from 10.1 to 10.2, 64 bit editions. I cannot get Zenupdater to sinc with Yast. When I add repositories to Yast, then click finish, it tried to sinc the changes with Zen and it just times out. I've looked for a fix and have found none. Another issue is that I can't find a source for kernel modules to resolve dependancies when trying to install the nvidia drivers. Anyone else having these issues??

    Try this link for drivers
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_d..._1.0-9631.html

In some cases I'm not sure if it wouldn't be better to just do a fresh install.
Just due to the fact that 64 bit was still a little buggy in 10.1

Well, I didn't want to lose all of my files and the upgrades went just fine. 10.1 seemed to work great, although I only had it for a few weeks, but, I didn't have any issues with it. 10.2 is real nice, with the KDE 3.5.5....I really like the new Kmenu. Anyway, looks like I may have to do a fresh install now b/c my motherboard died last night. I've had issues with it not shutting down and hanging up in the BIOS screen when I restart, sometimes the CMOS gets corrupt and I have to clear it. Well, I can't get it to power up at all now, so, I ordered an ASUS MB and an Nvidia 7600GS video card-PCI express. Should be here tomorrow, I'll reload 10.2 and see if I can fix these issues.

Ok, I got my PC to boot up with the old MB and now Zen updater is working fine I also figured out my problem with the nvidia drivers, I had the wrong repo for them. So, I got all that fixed and I configured XGL and compiz. Everything works fine, I got the "cube" effect and the window effects work except for the wobble. I can't get anything to wobble. The xgl settings menu says that my video card is not in the database, but, does have 3d acceleration and that some things may not work correctly. I would think that the wobble effect would work it just might be slow, but, it doesn't work at all. Any ideas??
