10.2 Not connecting to 128bit WEP
Iam running SuSE 10.2 from KDE 3.2 and seem to be having abit of an issue of getting connected to a wireless network thats using a 128bit WEP key. What happens is when I goto type in the key and everything like that in the KiFi Manager (i think its called) it shows the progress bar at the bottom and it will always stop at "Configuring Adapter". I have noticed that in the diffrent encryption options it shows.. 40/108bit WEP options but none for 128bit. I was thinking that could be the problem, Also when I come home and connect to my network which uses a 64bit WEP it has no problems with that and connects flawlessly. Any suggestions guys? Iam new to the Linux community but still kinda know whats going on, but forgive me if I do not understand you right away.

bascially it seems that the wireless manager is not accepting a 128bit key, from the drop down menus of the diffrent types of keys it only shows 40/108bit keys not 128bit so Iam thinking that is the reason. Any ideas how I can get it to work with 128bit keys?

instead of using KNetworkmanager/Kwifi try using Yast to set the keys. (Yast -> Network devices -> Network Card -> Select Wireless card -> hit next a few times until you get to wireless settings).
Life is complex, it has a real part and an imaginary part.
