Boot Issues
So, I decided to reinstall everything on my computer. I first installed linux, thinking I would not use windows, I then later decided that I do need windows, so I installed windows after I installed linux.
So, I go back to the openSuse 10.2 DVD, and try to reinstall GRUB. Everything goes good, "Grub Installed Successfully". I restart my computer, and Windows boots straight up.
I go through this process about 6 different times, trying different things every time, with no luck. I can not get windows to quit booting itself. I let the Suse recovery deal do its thing on automatic, I have tried manually installing the GRUB boot loader.
When I fdisk, it shows my 2 partitions, and has a star next to the Windows partition under the "boot" column.
So, to recap, grub never gets loaded, and the computer is booting straight to windows.
I cannot figure this out. What am I missing.
Thanks for the help.

update
Also,
I just tried to install grub with Linux loaded.
At the prompt: grub-install /dev/hda
and I tried
grub-install /dev/hd0
I get, "/dev/hda, not found or not a block device", but when i look at the properties for /dev/hda, it says that it is a block device.
Thanks to anyone who takes time to respond.
