Must Boot From DVD
I just installed 10.2 over top of 9.3. It was/is in a dual boot with Windoze.
Problem is...it won't boot straight from the hard drive. The DVD must be in the drive and being booted from. After it boots from DVD, it asks if I want to boot from hard drive, then gives the dual boot option. It appears to be the new edition of Grub.
Any ideas???
thanks.

what error message you get on Startup without inserting DVD?
boot up SuSe, post the contents of /boot/grub/menu.lst file.

It doesn't get into Linux without picking up the DVD...
If the DVD isn't in the drive, it reads Verifying DMI Pool Data.
With DVD in it will boot to Linux to the place where it asks if I want to install, boot from hard disk, etc. just like installation all over again. When I boot from hard disk is when it goes into Grub and gives me the Dual Boot Options.
Thanks for all your help.

Didn't work...
As it is set up now, it has to see the DVD first. I have no idea why?
