    Cannot play any media

    if i open an mp3 file this message appears
    The xine-engine claims it cannot play MP3 files.
    You may want to choose a different engine from the Configure Dialog, or examine the installation of the multimedia-framework that the current engine uses.

    if i open a video file (wmv , mpg , or any extension) this message appears
    No plugin found to handle this resource (/windows/G/uvs061222-002.WMV)
    Details:

    Dear friend,
    Suse 10.0 and above comes extremelly "castrated". It means the bundled multimedia packages are good for nothing! You must download other versions from the net.
    If you have broadband internet access, try to find newer version of xine, mplayer and xmms. You'll also need different kind of codecs, and libraries. I use to download an RPM to a folder and in console do su, and after the password type rpm -Uvh *.rpm. If you have any dependency problems it shall describe it and you'll additionally search for those packages on the net. Useful sites:
