I just installed SUSE 10.1 and am trying to update from DVD to get the rest of LAMP pieces going. I start YaST control center and select Software Management module. I search for 'apache' and get the expected list of packages - all unchecked. So far so good.

Problem is that when I attempt to check any box, the window closes immediately, returning me to the YaST control center initial screen. I don't get a chance to ACCEPT.

Ideas for me?

UPDATE - I ended up reinstalling the entire OS and the problem went away. I am getting a sense of the challenges awaiting me in Linux system adminstration.
