    GAIM Problem

    When I login to MSN with GAIM I can always get online. But then the window pops up and i see my contacts etc but after about 1 second it disappears. Can anyone help me its really annoying having to use ebuddy to go on msn with lol. thanks.

    what version of gaim? Is it only MSN? Try running gaim from the command line and see if any errors are printed.

    GAIM is notoriously buggy for MSN. You might want to try aMSN, a popular alternative for Linux.

    I don't know what version of GAIM it is and I don't know how to run it from the command terminal. My step-dad can get on fine and the only difference is that he uses an @hotmail.co.uk email address and I use an @googlemail.com address. Could it be that? Im pretty sure I set my account up fine. Thanks anyway guys.
