root user and flash player installation
i am complete newbie in linux....i even don;t know how to log on as a root user.....i have downloaded the flash player 9 but I don;t know how to install it....can someone help me.....thanks......

while logged in as normal user, you can gain 'root' privileges in terminal/konsole through 'su' command.
ORCode:su
in Login Screen, enter 'root' as Username and enter root password in Password box.
i suggest you *not* to login as 'root' user through Login Screen. use 'su' command in terminal.
CasperIt is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

After you have done that, yo install the file you got is a compressed file, so you will want to de-compress it into a folder. Once that is done goto that folder and you will see a file called README or INSTALL one of thoes will have installation instruction.
