    [noobish] Cant copy to external hdd

    feel fairly stupid for asking on this one, but how do i copy to an external hdd.

    am logged in as root, yet it gives me "Permission Denied."

    if anyone could share any light on it, it would be fantastic.

    whats is the File System of external hdd? SuSe doesn't support NTFS write access out of box.

    was thinking it was the file system, sigh.

    so, how would i be able to get the hdd to be able to have write access for windows and suse?

    :/

    is it a no go?

    SuSe and all Linux Distros has FAT32 read/write access. for NTFS write access, install ntfs-3g package. check this thread for instructions.
