    Unhappy Software Dependencies

    I am a complete newbie at suse linux10.1.my software update icon says i have 94 updates pending.whener i try to updat that it says that
    "
    Unresolved dependencies:
    Updating gstreamer010-plugins-base-oil-0.10.5-11.i586[System packages] to gstreamer010-plugins-base-oil-0.10.11-0.pm.1.i586[20061224-012652]
    gstreamer010-plugins-base-0.10.5-11.i586[System packages] provides gstreamer010-plugins-base == 0.10.5-11, but is scheduled to be uninstalled.
    gstreamer010-plugins-base-0.10.5-11.i586[SUSE-Linux-10.1-DVD-i386-10.1-0-20061205-205357] provides gstreamer010-plugins-base == 0.10.5-11, but another version of that package is already installed.
    Can't satisfy requirement gstreamer010-plugins-base == 0.10.5 for gstreamer010-plugins-base-oil-0.10.5-11.i586[System packages]
    Can't install gstreamer010-plugins-base-oil-0.10.11-0.pm.1.i586[20061220-001321], since gstreamer010-plugins-base-oil-0.10.11-0.pm.1.i586[20061224-012652] is already marked as needing to be installed
    Marking this resolution attempt as invalid.

    can anyone help me...............

    thanks for your help in advance

    Some times when you have many updates one update will depend on another update later in the list.

    Try just checking a few at a time. Skip the ones that are giving dependency errors and when you reach the bottom try installing all that are left. This normaly works.
