Suse 10.2 yast broken again
Dear readers,
Has anybody figured out how to add a package repository 10.2 ?
Whichever mirror I try ( http or ftp ) it doesn't seem to work at all while adding it to my installation sources. I always get the same error message saying ( after 5 minutes of waiting "can't add installation source "
I tried packman some german servers ,us servers , http/ftp made sure there weren't any typoes on my part...but all to no avail. I had it working in the past on 9.3 with the packman repository but since suse 10.0/10.1/10.2 I just can't ...this is amazingly frustrating.
If i enter the url in my browser I can see there are files on the server, but in yast it first seems to wait for about 5 minutes before failing.
Also I can't find any references in documentation or howto's to any more configuration than selecting the protocol adding the server name and a path.
Thank you for your time,
astro

packman worked ok for me.
you need to select the http option first then add:-
for server name:
packman.ie-bremen.de
for directory:-
suse/10.2
