YUM can be Used on SuSE

    Hi patrickv,
Yes, you can use YUM to do some amount of package management in SuSE, right now. But, most of the SuSE project repositories are not supported and there are yum usable repodata for only few repositories like updates, base, etc. So, if want to check it out, sure, do give it a try. You can more information on setting it up at the following website : -

Are you using 10.1 or 10.2? If you're using 10.2, I suggest you use zypper. It's a command line PM much like yum but is much more integrated with Suse.
