    missing samba client

    Hello All,

I am a newbie to linux. I have installed Susu 10.1. And I am trying to connect my XP box to Linux box.
Prolem I have is that I do not see the samba-client icon in yast2. samba-sever is there.

so i searched for "samba" under "software management".
    i have installed.

    samba-client
    samba-doc
    samba
    samba-pdb
    samba-winbind
    yast2-samba-client
    yast2-samba-server
    samba-vscan
    bind
    bind-chroot
    openldap2
    openldap2-client
    nss_ldap
    perl-ldap
    smbldap-tools

but i dont see the samba client icon?
    pl. help.
    thanx in advance.

Just use the server. This is needed so your linux box shows up ob the network. It handles the client side as well.

Also note that sometimes the firewall is a problem turn it off if it is. You may hand configure it, but right now I don't have the settings handy. maybe someone else can post them.
