    Forgotten BIOS Password.

    hey guyz..i knew it is a little bit inappropriate to post this question here..but i really had no idea on this problem..wish u guyz here can help me...i had a com ...which is dual boot window xp and suse linux 10.1 ...erm...beside removing the CMOS battery...isnthere any solutions if i want to remove the bios password...thx guyz

    you can use UBCD to clear/re-assign BIOS password.

    but how does ubcd work...i dont understand anything about it..casper,can u explain how cud i do it in detail?

    UBCD has lot of BIOS tools/softwares. check think link for available tools and instructions.
    download .iso image of UBCD, burn image to CD and boot up from CD.

    Why don't you try removing the battery?
    It should solve the problem, and without doing any damage.mind you, make sure the computer is disconnected from the mains before doing so.

    some branded machines are sealed coz of warranty reasons and you can't open the BOX. UBCD is very handy in these situations.
