Wireless not working: SUSE 10.2. Help!!
Hi there;
I have just installed SUSE 10.2 on my laptop. I am new to linux, but have been reading plenty of forums, so know my way round a little now. Yet, whatever I do, I can't make the wireless work.
I have a Belkin 802.11g wireless card; when I plug it in SUSE recognises it and I am able to run configuration in YAsT without any problems. However, no matter how I set the parameters, it will not connect to the network.
I do have encryption on my wireless; however, having set it up on many different computers, I am sure I have all the settings down right.
Basically, there doesn't seem to be a driver problem, and there doesn't seem to be a network problem. I have tried running iwconfig in the Gnome terminal, and this confirms that the card is recognised by SUSE.
I have completely run out of ideas and could do with some help.....
Many thanks in advance.

RE: Wireless not working: SUSE 10.2. Help!!
Hi, i'm having exactly the same problem with my belkin adapter aswell and it's really annoying me. Just had a little search on the internet and someone changed there routers security to a wep hex key rather then wpa passphrase and then changed there broadcast channel. Gonna try this when i get back from work, if this fails then i'm going back to windows!

You got further then Me..
I know this doesn't help you, but i figured I'd throw my issue in the mix and someone can give us all a good resource on this.
I've got an 11a/b/g WIreless LAN Mini PCI Adapter manufactured by Atheros Communications in my Lenovo T41P laptop. I've downloaded the drivers from MadWifi and followed their instructions, but I still can't do anything with it...
