Gnome wireless config...
I have spent days setting up and screwing up suse 10.2
I have finally just about got it where I want it.
My problem is,I installed with KDE desktop and added gnome later.
If I boot to KDE,my wireless comes right up and connects.
If I boot to gnome,it won't connect and says no access point.
I have run network configuration under both with no change.
I am using ndiswrapper with d-link dwl-520 drivers and acx100 firmware
which is loaded at boot.
Have done modprobe ndiswrapper,no change.
Is there a configuration setting that I can transfer from kde to gnome,
to make this connect, without having to log into kde first?
Thank you,
LeRoy
Edit:
Also,if you could tell me how to reduce video gamma,I'd be grateful.

Try installing a program called 'wifi-radar'. Open up a terminal and type
after its installed run the program. does it detect any wireless networks? or does it say there is a problem with hardware?Code:sudo apt-get install wifi-radar

Thanks for the reply.
It says no network.
I set up the default and it stated couldn't get IP.
Looks like a decent tool though.
Guess I will install 1 more time with both desktops,
so they are not separated.
Thanks again.

Reinstalled and installed the gnome and kde window managers and
then configured wireless.
It connects now.
Been thinking about it and was thinking, maybe putting ndiswrapper in
/etc/modukes.conf.local might start the module and bring up the network.
