    Post Konsole vs Terminal

    pardon me if this sound foolish.
    I am quite new to Linux and have recently installed SuSe 9.0 on to my PC.
    Can anyone sort out the difference between the X Terminal and Konsole??
    Pls let me know the differences both for the normal user account as well as the root.

    xterm and konsole are both GUI terminal emulators. They are different apps that do the same thing basically.

    The root account is the account that is given full access to your machine. Regular user accounts won't be able to read or change certain system files while root will be able to. There are lots of action regular users can't and aren't supposed to perform, which can be done as root.

    i understand both Xterm and konsole can b used for almost the same things...bt something lies beyond n beneath this as well!!
