    Exclamation vsftpd issues

    Hi all,

I am running SUSE 10.2, fresh install and I am running into a problem with vsftpd. I have the vsftpd.conf file basically default aside local logins, and I have both my software and hardware firewalls ports (20, 21) open also vsftpd is running in stand alone mode. Well with that set up it did not work I then tryed to localize the problem and I think I did. When I disable my software firewall via. YaST it I can connect. Here is my software firewall setup.

    Firewall Starting
    Start firewall when booting
Firewall will be running after the configuration gets written
    Internal Zone
No interfaces assigned to this zone.
    Demilitarized Zone
No interfaces assigned to this zone.
    External Zone
    Interfaces
    Dell BCM4401-B0 100Base-TX
Dell BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller
'any' Any unassigned interface will be assigned to this zone.
    Open Services, Ports, and Protocols
    TCP Ports: 20, 21
    UDP Ports: 20, 21

When I turn my firewall back on it ceases to work. So I have no idea what to do or what the problem could be with my software firewall. Any help or ideas would be appreciated

    Problem solved

Needed to load some kernel modules ip_nat_ftp and ip_conntrack_ftp. Thanks to all who looked at this thread.
