    Unhappy Playing MPEG and AVi files in SUSE 10.2

    hi guys,
    i am complete newbie in suse linux10.2. I shifted from windows xp to suse linux 10.2.I have know idea how to play mpeg and avi files. I evev installed mplayer from yast.but still as soon as it opens it closes automatically.
    do u know any other player which can helpme out????
