hi...

i have two suse linux 10.1 and two windows system connected in LAN. i tried to send message from a linux to windows system using SMBCLIENT AS FOLLOWS:

echo hi | smbclient -M system1 (where system1 is the windows computer).

but it returned me the following error:

Connection to system failed:

.
is this correct way of sending message ...?

can anyone provide me suggestion or solutions as to how to send messages in LAN from linux to windows(i mean without using the LAN MESSENGER and similar to NET SEND command in windows)....?
