vpn client for checkpoint vpn server?
Hi there,
Has anyone been able to vpn to a check point vpn server. I have recently installed opensuse 10.2 and am hoping to use this as my primary desktop but without a way to vpn to work which I do frequently that will be difficult. On WinXP, I use Check Point SecureClient; I set up a VPN site once and then just connect using username and password. Then I remote desktop to my desktop at work.
On Suse10.2, there are a number of vpn clients, openswan + cisco but I am not sure how to set these up to connect to a checkpoint vpn server. I know checkpoint has an old linux client for (RedHat v7) and that won't work on the new kernel.
I really would appreciate any help on this!!!

You can use OpenSwan and configure it in aggressive mode to make it work with CheckPoint

I'm running into the same issue with OpenSuse10.3. I admit to be a Linux newbee but I find it hard to believe that configuring a VPN for Checkpoint should be this difficult. I will try the OpenSwan method though since the previous post says it should work. Thanks.
