    startup after install

OK, I read the "sticky" post by Oldcpu about the checksum issue. I was not completely carefull about this when burning the images. Now I have installed Suse 10.2 on a pc and it won't boot. the install seemed to go fine, but no boot. It seems to hang right after "Boot to Cd:" shows up on the screen during the boot cycle.

I did install 10.2 to my Mac in VirtualPC with the same CDs and it went fine and booted. Does this show that the CDs are fine or does the problem(s) occur more intermittently and not show up every time?

    Thanks for your help.

set Harddisk as 'First Boot Device' in BIOS.

Setting the hard disc to be the primary boot device didn't work. I just did a new install and it works now. Thanks for your response.
